They also fudge their way through Korean politics and spend fifteen minutes making fun of Arnold Schwarzenegger. So that's worth a listen.

THE LAST STAND - TRAILER

While it's pretty great to see Arnold back in a leading role, and speaking as a resident of California, doing what he clearly does best, unfortunately this trailer for The Last Stand doesn't really have me itching to see plunk down my money for a ticket.

I mean, come on... Johnny Knoxville?

Really?

Ug.

Take a look at the trailer and see what you think.

Steven

Synopsis: Sheriff Owens is a man who has resigned himself to a life of fighting what little crime takes place in sleepy border town Sommerton Junction after leaving his LAPD post following a bungled operation that left him wracked with failure and defeat after his partner was crippled. After a spectacular escape from an FBI prisoner convoy, the most notorious, wanted drug kingpin in the hemisphere is hurtling toward the border at 200 mph in a specially outfitted car with a hostage and a fierce army of gang members. He is headed, it turns out, straight for Summerton Junction, where the whole of U.S. law enforcement will have their last opportunity to make a stand and intercept him before he slips across the border forever. At first reluctant to become involved, and then counted out because of the perceived ineptitude of his small town force, Owens ultimately accepts responsibility for the face off.

EXPENDABLES 2 CLIP? WE GOT ONE

This is by far the most promising clip from the sequel to the Expendables to be released to date. It has a little Arnold, and a little Sly, and a little Willis, and even a smidge of Chuck to boot. There's blood and guns, and all the stuff you might be looking for if you're planning on buying a ticket to this thing.

Is the movie going to be any good? Dunno.

The movie opens on August 17th. Stay tuned for our podcast review of the Expendables later this week.

Synopsis: The Expendables are back and this time it’s personal… Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone), Lee Christmas (Jason Statham), Yin Yang (Jet Li), Gunnar Jensen (Dolph Lundgren),Toll Road (Randy Couture) and Hale Caesar (Terry Crews) — with newest members Billy the Kid (Liam Hemsworth) and Maggie (Yu Nan) aboard — are reunited when Mr. Church (Bruce Willis) enlists the Expendables to take on a seemingly simple job. The task looks like an easy paycheck for Barney and his band of old-school mercenaries. But when things go wrong and one of their own is viciously killed, the Expendables are compelled to seek revenge in hostile territory where the odds are stacked against them. Hell-bent on payback, the crew cuts a swath of destruction through opposing forces, wreaking havoc and shutting down an unexpected threat in the nick of time — six pounds of weapons-grade plutonium; enough to change the balance of power in the world. But that’s nothing compared to the justice they serve against the villainous adversary who savagely murdered their brother.
